Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $25.00-26.25 per hour

Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions for accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, and various other transactions including vendor reconciliations, month-end closing activities, establishing and maintaining vendor and branch relationships.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities of the position include:

• The Accounts Payable Specialist manages all activities in the accounts payable function
• Analyzes and processes invoices with proper approval, coding, and timing to ensure accurate financial reporting and payment
• Review and process 2-way & 3-way Purchase Order invoices to audit standard
• Branch credit card account reconciliation and processing to the DMS system
• Maintain vendor files and AP email
• Verify vendor accounts, reconcile statements, and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
• Effectively communicating with vendors and employees to establish and maintain relationships, answer questions, and resolve outstanding issues
• Month-end closing activities
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Assisting with other Accounting projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• Minimum of three years of proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume company
• Competency of accounts payable principles, accounting standards and regulation
• The successful candidate will display strong time management, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
• Experience with a DMS system preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook) is required.
