What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at BraunAbility?
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and influencing the specific elements of a project to insure completion of a project on time and within budget, while meeting product financials and quality goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work within the scope of the BraunAbility Product Development (Stage-Gate) process and AIAG APQP to manage projects as assigned.
- Conduct and motivate cross functional team meetings to manage the project and to promote communication and problem resolution.
- Communication, outside of the CF meetings, to upper managers and across the organization on the project activities.
- Track and manage the scope, timeline, and costs of assigned projects
- Monitor and report the product cost of the project compared to baseline targets
- Support the procurement functions of a project.
- Support the development of creating baseline project timing and product cost during the ideation of a project.
- Coordinate cross functional communication and planning of model year change over activities.
- Identify the expectations of internal and external customers, and strive to meet all applicable to quality robustness, budget, and timing.
- Support the WAV Product Portfolio department activities with product & market research, and serving as a link between the internal resources of the sales process and the product development process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a business discipline preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience to include 3 years of direct project management experience utilizing management processes (ex. Stage-Gate Innovation) or 3 years of experience launching new vehicle or lift products required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Proven ability to influence cross functional teams required
- Strong knowledge of stage-gate product development process and AIAG APQ requirements needed.
- Ability to handle multiple projects needed.
- Strong organizational skills are needed.
- Strong business acumen needed.
- Technical understanding of wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV’s) preferred
