Maintenance Technician II/ 3/2 Night Shift

Job Title:Maintenance Technician II/Weekend Nights Department: Maintenance

Report to:Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly

Job Summary:A Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the installation and removal of manufacturing equipment as well as executing preventative and corrective maintenance programs. Serving a key role in the continual improvement and development of the department overall, they are expected to serve as both mentor and role model for level I technicians.

• Generate and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, parts used.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, valve bodies, oils, etc.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems, conveyors, materials handling systems, etc.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Perform mold changes of presses as required.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to primarily work alone or in a team environment.
• Able to be on call as needed.
• Great attendance & punctuality
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Work with and delegate duties on large projects to contractors, Level I technicians

Education and Experience:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Manufacturing experience (Required)
• 5-10 years Industrial Maintenance experience and the ability to perform at that level (Required)
• 2 years of experience performing maintenance in a plastic processing facility (Preferred)
• 2 years’ experience working with automated equipment (Preferred)
• 3 years’ experience with work order management (Preferred)
• HVAC & Boiler System Experience (Preferred)

Requirements:

• Must be able to reach, stretch, bend, kneel, climb, twist, during daily routine, with the ability to stand and walk for long lengths of time.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing over 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
