ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- First point of contact for basic personnel inquiries regarding - benefits, assisting employees with navigating our payroll system (Paylocity)
- Open HR and the COO's correspondence and distribute it to the COO, Property Manager, and Director of HR as appropriate
- Assist with coding and submitting all facilities, benefits, and the COO’s invoices to our Accounting Department and logging it on an Accounting log
- Post vacant positions on-line (Paylocity), as directed by the Director of HR
- Assist HR Director with new hire on-boarding and new-hire paperwork
- Assist HR director with termination process for exiting employees
- Update payroll system when there is a staff employment update as needed
- Complete EDD forms
- Reconcile benefit invoices by comparing to EE’s enrolled in the various benefits vs. who have terminated from benefits
- Maintaining various training matrix’ and EE requirement logs and sending employee reminders to take their training when it’s due
- All HR Personnel document filing
- Ensure all 3 EE files are in order, complete, and up to date
- Assist in workplace accident investigation as directed by the Director of HR and submitting workers’ comp claims as needed
- Scan personnel documents in preparation to go “paperless”
- Escalate employee inquiries to the Director of Human Resources as necessary
- Other projects or tasks as assigned by the Director of HR and/or the COO

REQUIREMENTS:
- AA Degree in Business Administration or HR (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience as an administrative assistant and/or Human Resources assistant (willing to train an early career candidate desiring a long-term career in HR)
- Highly organized
- Extreme attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple projects and execute to completion
- Working knowledge and familiarity with computer systems and software programs such as
Microsoft Word and G-mail - Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Zoom, Google Meets
- MUST be able to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
