- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with activities of daily living.
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings in medical records.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments, such as gastric lavage and specimen collection processing.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare needs and treatment plans.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Assist with the coordination of patient transfers and discharges.
```Skills```
- Ophthalmology: Knowledge of eye care procedures, including administering eye drops and assisting with eye exams.
- Vital signs: Proficient in measuring and recording vital signs accurately.
- Hospice care: Experience providing compassionate care to patients in end-of-life situations.
- Patient care: Skilled in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, including infants, adults, and the elderly.
- Dementia care: Familiarity with caring for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including managing challenging behaviors.
- Gastric lavage: Ability to perform gastric lavage procedures under the direction of a healthcare provider.
- Specimen collection processing: Competent in collecting, labeling, and processing various types of specimens for laboratory testing.
- Standards: Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations to ensure compliance with legal and ethical requirements.
- Infant care: Experience caring for newborns and infants, including feeding, diapering, and monitoring developmental milestones.
- Patient assessment: Proficient in conducting thorough patient assessments to identify health concerns and develop appropriate care plans.
