Position Overview
The production professional is a baker who takes pride in creating craft bread and pastry. This position will be involved with the mix, make-up, shaping and baking of all pastry and bread items. Our goal is to have finished products that meet consistent, high quality standards for our customers.
This is a position that requires working on the floor alongside fellow team members in order to fulfill the needs of the bakery. You must be willing to develop a complete working knowledge of recipes and techniques, as well as the ability to use a variety of equipment and an excitement for learning how to bake from our french-style wood-fired ovens. Our Production Professionals are the first line of quality control for pastry and bread served in the cafe and need a keen attention to detail and strong commitment to upholding standards.
To succeed in this role you must be able to take and implement direction on a daily basis, altering production as needed. This role requires a gritty approach to the physical demands and the daily challenges that an opening will present. Hours:
This is a full-time position. Schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am.

A breakdown of the pay range for all positions company-wide is available for all team members. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work under the Production Managers to produce a stellar line of products for our 4 Cafes and for our farmers market teams
- Have a working knowledge of the mixing, shaping, and baking of both bread and pastry
- Identify issues and communicate to Management to facilitate a safe, productive work environment.
- Be able to take direction and adjust factors as needed to achieve desired results
- Work alongside fellow employees without ego or pretense
- Maintain our high standards of sanitation, sustainability, and safety in the work environment
- Act with integrity, honesty, knowledge, and professionalism to promote the culture, values, and mission of Bread Alone
- Responsible for proper packaging, labeling, and packing of outgoing bakery items to our 4 cafes and for our farmers market teams
- This is a exposition facility so you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work space
- Willing to follow proper food storage protocols including product rotation

- Able to stand for long periods of time while executing tasks quickly and accurately

- Able and willing to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and assigned uniform as required per company policy
- Willing to take responsibility for your own and others safety a well as follow safety rules and regulations and report any unsafe conditions to management
- Willing to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices which includes but are not limited to: Removing any visible or exposed piercings and body jewelry, personal accessories, false nails & refraining from makeup at work (ie. mascara or heavy foundation, lipstick)
- The Bakery is open 365 days a year and team members must be willing to work consistently throughout the year which includes holidays and weekends
