JOB
The Natural Resource Tech II performs professional work within the Natural Resource Division including daily operations and maintenance of primitive and nature hiking trails. Assists with all division natural resource management activities such as surveying, weeding, invasive species removal, planting and more as needed

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Education Required: H.S. diploma or equivalent.License(s) Required: Valid LA driver's license Years Relevant Work Experience: One (1 ) year of related experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Specialized experience in specific field of hire (Tree care and trail maintenance)Ability to operate maintenance equipment and motorized vehicles.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing in the English LanguageAbility to work independently and communicate problems to direct supervisor.Ability to adjust to changing work demands, procedures, technology, and/or prioritiesAbility to perform manual and skilled labor in various weather conditionsAbility to lift up to 100 lbs., occasionallyAbility to follow simple oral & written instructionsAbility to develop and maintain effective working relations with othersAbility to operate a BREC Vehicle and off-road vehicle to perform essential functions of the job. Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences and work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions

Full-time position; schedule may vary within framework of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; lunch break daily; Some evening and weekend hours as necessary; overtime as required.Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
