DISPATCHER
Our team in Farmington currently has an opening for a Dispatcher
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervisor drivers including managing driver overtime, running weekly transportation meetings, and issuing discipline and coaching.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and utilization with all transportation equipment.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules, annual certifications, repair records, & DOT files for trucks, trailers, and dollies.
- Manage daily DVIR’s on fleet equipment.
- Manage vendor relationships for fleet repair and preventative maintenance.
- Oversee and direct bulk, mini-bulk and packaged drivers in execution of delivery schedule. Develop drivers and monitor work practices to ensure that work is safe, efficient, and accurate.
- Liaise with Customer service and sales to communicate the delivery schedule, execute same day orders when needed, resolve issues at customer sites, and communicate changes to the schedule.
- Manage driver qualification files, enter information into BUS and responsible for driver compliance.
- Involved in advancing operating procedures or process improvement projects.
- Comply with and enforce all company procedures and policies. Reinforce a strong safety culture at the site.
- Handles all POD requirements.
- Back up for Warehouse Supervisor/Production supervisor when absent.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or related experience and/or training with a minimum of two years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, Haz-Mat shipping, and electronic hours logs
- Familiarity with Samsara or similar systems is a plus
