Director of Pediatrics

A prestigious healthcare system in North Austin is searching for a Director of Pediatrics to join its growing team. In this role, you will lead the pediatrics team, ensuring high-quality patient care and effectively managing daily operations. You will maintain robust relationships with physicians, nurses, and administrators, and function at a high level of business acumen. Responsibilities:

• Oversee three Pediatric units, including the PICU, Pediatric ED, and Pediatric Med/Surg, and over 100 FTEs.
• Develop, revise, and implement department policies and procedures that align with the hospital’s mission and goals.
• Continuously assess and improve the department and the organization’s performance.
• Ensure education and training of staff is ongoing and beneficial to staff.
• Serve as a liaison between executive leadership, medical staff, and nursing.

Qualifications:

• A BSN is required, and an MSN is preferred.
• Active RN license.
• 5 years of acute care experience.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Pediatric ED experience is ideal.
