Instructional Assistant - ESE - Stone Magnet Middle School

Stone Magnet Middle School is looking for a dedicated Instructional Assistant - Exceptional Student Education (ESE) to assist certified teachers in achieving instructional goals through active participation in curricular activities and supervision of ESE students.

Instructional Assistants - ESE may have before/after school and lunch duty responsibilities. This position may also require accompanying a student on the bus.

This is a 9-month position, 6.5 hours/day, and it is eligible for full-time benefits.

STARTING SALARY

Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees:

• Grade 18 $16.04 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 464 or 60 hrs college credit in core curriculum)
• Grade 19 $16.40 p/h (AA / AS or higher)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma/equivalent or special diploma required
• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 464 or higher
• Experience working with children
• Valid Florida Driver's License required
