Position: IT Specialist

Job Description: To play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, including network infrastructure, hardware, software, and user accounts. Responsibilities will include pulling wires, maintaining IT systems and inventory, utilizing Microsoft software proficiently, assisting in the creation of new accounts, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components such as switches, routers, firewalls and related software.
Pull and terminate network cables as required for new installations or maintenance.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and implement appropriate solutions.
Perform regular maintenance tasks on hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals
Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software as needed.
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Assist in the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts across various platforms and applications.
Install and maintain peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
Conduct user training sessions to enhance IT literacy and promote best practices.
Communicates with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
Analyzes software and hardware needs for the organization.
Utilize Microsoft Suites (Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, etc.) Proficiency in supporting business operations and collaboration.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft applications and services.
Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive measures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Conduct security assessments and implement necessary measures to safeguard IT assets and data.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
One to two years of relevant experience in IT support and system administration.
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, etc.
Proficiency in pulling and terminating network cables.
Experience with Microsoft Suites including Office 365, Teams, OneDrive and Sharepoint.
Familiarity with user account management and Active Directory.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
