What our DC Manager Does:
- Oversee the daily operations of a distribution center location to ensure efficient and effective operational success and focus on long-term strategy.
- Hire, inspire, and lead distribution center employees by providing ongoing coaching and development, recognition, and open and honest communication.
- Create and sustain an engaging culture for distribution employees to grow, develop, and meet company and career goals.
- Prepare weekly scheduling and create/delegate operational responsibilities for all distribution center employees to ensure operational goals are consistently met.
- Analyze labor metrics and current staffing numbers to proactively prepare for future workforce planning needs.
- Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and control of warehouse inventory.
- Coordinate activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales, record control, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of merchandise.
- Track and manage onsite inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against company reporting.
- Build strong collaboration with operational leadership and cross-functional departments to encourage sharing of information and continuous improvement throughout the company.
- Maintain accountability to financial and key performance metrics for the distribution center, including budgetary and inventory control goals set by operational leadership.
- Adhere to FDA, State, City, and Company guidelines for food safety handling and facility sanitation.
- Adhere to OSHA, State, City, and Company guidelines for developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs.
Things you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field preferred or equivalent operational leadership experience.
- 5 years of distribution, warehouse, or related experience.
- 3 years of prior leadership experience.
- PCQI certification required, but company offers this to be completed upon hire.
- Technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.

Salary : $77,300 - $97,900
