The Construction Project Estimator will be a vital role and in addition to our management team, work duties will include preconstruction and hard bid estimating. Job Duties:
- Assist with managing and updating a log of potential construction opportunities; including evaluations of projects to determine applicability to our core competencies
- Efficiently and accurately perform construction takeoffs, calculation, and assembly of data.
- Develop a cohesive estimate structure supported by achievable preliminary work plans.
- Communicate with and expand subcontractor & supplier database.
- Negotiates the best deal for the company, factoring in safety, cost, quality & diversity
- Evaluates risks & determines risk mitigation strategies
- Manage construction projects, clients & field supervisors
- Perform preliminary project scheduling activates & pre-job planning.
Job Qualifications:
- Construction experience in the Civil Construction field including the ability to read and understand civil plans and specifications
- Fluent with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience with estimating software including HCSS Heavy Bid/ Heavy job
- Experience with construction plan take off software
- Strong written & verbal communication and people skills
- Solid time management skills & ability to self-motive to meet goals.
- Experience with DOT's and public agencies preferred
Salary Range: $120,000 to $175,000
*Salary will be based off candidates' qualifications.
