We are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Director to join our team at a nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating engaging programs to enhance their quality of life.

As our Activity Director, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.

With a minimum of 5 years of experience in long-term care, you'll bring invaluable expertise to our community.

You'll report directly to the administrator, with a dotted line to the senior living event coordinator, ensuring seamless collaboration and support.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities and events for residents and staff

- Coordinate social, recreational, physical, and educational programs

- Conduct assessments to determine individual resident needs and preferences

- Collaborate with staff to integrate activities into residents' care plans

- Manage schedules and ensure timely execution of activities

- Work closely with the event planner executing special events for both the residents and staff

Position Requirements:

- At least 5 years experience in senior care or nursing home setting

-Proficiency with a computer

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles

- Ability to manage schedules effectively

- Passion for working with the elderly and creating meaningful experiences
