The Director works to manage day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with State and Quality Rated guidelines while supporting our mission to enhance learning and development for each child.
Duties include but not limited to:
Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
Must be experienced with Quality Rating Standards
Manage and coordinate curriculum with staff that complies with state and federal requirements.
Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure enrollment is at a minimum of 95% capacity
Recruit, interview, hire and manage faculty
Manage Center staff schedule
Conduct Center orientation
Complete annual staff reviews
Conduct monthly staff meetings
Develop and maintain a substitute teacher list
Maintain complete Staff files
Plan First aid, CPR and any other required training
Plan emergency preparedness training
Conduct classroom observations in accordance with Quality Rated requirements
Qualifications:
Must have 2 or more years experience in a Child care Center as Director or Assistant
Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Managing or Assisting Management with Quality Rating
Experience as Director or Assistant Director of a Quality Rated Center
Experience using Procare Software
Must have reliable transportation.
Highly professional and dependable
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
Benefits:
Salary $40,000 to $50,000
