Our firm seeks a talented Interior Designer to create beautiful, functional spaces for our residential-build clients. You will join our team of dedicated, versatile designers that ensure all our clients receive exceptional service and that our results exceed expectations. This position will serve both builders and their clients. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of direct industry experience, along with an impressive portfolio of successful designs and references.

Interior Designer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to Design Principal as required
  • Individually work with clients while following our process to guide clients through the design while providing an exceptional experience
  • Understand and improve plans to yield the best project for both client and builder
  • Create preliminary design schemes, either by hand-sketching or computer-aided design and obtain client approval
  • Select all finish materials, present to client and gain approval
  • Document all approved selections and materials in our database and output information to builder
  • Collaborate with vendors and infuse the latest materials into our projects
  • Occasionally place orders for all supplies and materials
  • Attend key milestone jobsite meetings to assure overall design adherence

Interior Designer Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design strongly preferred
  • Five years industry experience working in client-forward residential interior design in construction either new home or remodeling
  • Superior knowledge of construction materials and building verbiage
  • Collaborate other designers and guide design assistants
  • Superior artistic and creative ability
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and an aptitude for visualization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Portfolio showcasing customized designs
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
