Overview
Role: The Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition oversees the talent pipeline for the network. This includes recruiting a large pipeline of qualified candidates, taking candidates through the selection process, and hiring them into the network. Success in the role is measured by
1. building a robust pipeline of qualified candidates, measured by presenting at least three qualified candidates to a hiring manager within two weeks of the vacancy being posted.
2. ensuring schools and departments are fully staffed (or within 30-days of a known vacancy).
3. supporting school leaders and network managers in reaching an 85% E/HE retention rate annually.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment
· Develop and execute on the BRICK Education Network Talent Recruitment strategy. Strategy will utilize recruitment best practices and account for rapid growth and expansion of the network.
· Establish, measure, and regularly report on recruitment goals.
· Create and utilize tracking systems to keep open communication between recruitment and selection teams.
· Build and manage relationships with key partners, colleges and universities, high schools, and candidates.
· Build a recruitment pipeline for the network that will meet future needs.
· Codify practices and keep open communication with other people facing teams to ensure a positive candidate experience.
· Manage and coach individual team members and recruiters.
· Manage the recruitment budget.
Talent Acquisition
· Build a strong, diverse, pipeline of candidates for all aspects of the organization. This includes school leaders, teachers, support staff, and network positions.
· Design and direct the recruitment, selection, and hiring process for all employees, with the purpose of attaining high quality employees and ensuring diversity and equity throughout the organization.
· Develop and market the BRICK Education Network special sauce (brand)
· Cultivate relationships with strategic partners
· Represent the BRICK Education Network at key networking and recruitment events
· Create and manage a retention plan for the network and support school leadership in creation of a retention plan for each school campus
· Create an update the annual referral plan to bring top-talent into the network, utilizing connections of current staff and supporters
· Support the creation and revisions to a competitive compensation model that keeps the network in the 75th percentile (top 25%) in each region
· Create and implement a candidate and staff feedback process to lead the talent team’s future growth and development
· Partner with school leaders and regional directors/superintendents to ensure all regions are fully staffed by June 30 each year
· Project manage Talent Team projects related to recruitment and selection
· Facilitate and lead training as needed
Human Resource Support
· Support the Assistant Director of HR in benefit administration, payroll, LOAs, and other functions as needed
· Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for all employees
· Maintain a system of personnel record keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Will perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Chief Talent Officer.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 7 years of talent and/or education experience
· Current authorization to work in the United States – A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
· Reliable transportation.
· Ability to some work late nights and weekends.
· An eagerness to set ambitious, challenging, and tangible goals, and a relentless drive to achieve them.
· An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.
· Bilingual is helpful but not required.
Salary, Goals and Employment Period
· Salary Range: Based Upon Experience / Performance Contract
· Employment Period: Twelve Months
