We are currently seeking a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to join our team in our downtown Cincinnati, Ohio location. This is a full-time position that will work as a member of our Business Development Department which takes great pride in providing marketing, communications and business development support services for the firm and its attorneys.
Seminar and Event Management
(1) Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of both internal and client-facing events, development seminars, webinars at the direction of the marketing/business development managers & specialists, including:
· Location logistics (contract negotiation, catering, room set-up, equipment needs)
· Email marketing and invitations
· Registration and nametags
· Handouts and/or materials needed
· Continuing legal and other education credit and filings
· Presentation format and technology (including webinars)
· Event checklists and event ROI reports
· Bricker Graydon On Main event management
Business Development Projects Coordination
(1) Execute web updates, email marketing sends, social and digital media projects, blog posts and other content marketing projects as needed.
(2) Negotiate with trade associations and service providers to help maximize the return on the firm’s investment. Research new opportunities within our target industries.
(3) May serve as primary liaison to certain groups and subgroups, coordinating meetings, events and follow-up items.
(4) Oversee purchase/curation of individual client gifts.
Special Projects Coordination
(1) Assist Business Development Department with long-term or short-term projects that may arise for the department, including client gifts.
(2) Serve as one of the department’s technology experts, becoming familiar with all technology used by the department, including website and blog content management systems, InterAction customer relationship management database, and email marketing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
(1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
(2) Strong organizational skills; ability to handle and manage multiple projects
(3) Strong customer service skills (for both internal and external customers)
(4) Detail oriented
(5) Solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, website content management systems and various social and digital media platforms
(6) Ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, staff and vendors
(7) Ability to prioritize work assignments and use time efficiently
(8) Ability to function both autonomously and within a team
PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
◊ One to three years’ prior experience in marketing, communications or similar position.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
◊ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
