Mental Health Clinic Reception and Office Support Specialist
Bridge City Counseling Offices: 712 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland Oregon
Part Time: 15-27 hours a week, with possibility of increased hours as company grows.
Working alongside a 12-member team of Mental Health Clinicians and staff, helping facilitate the providing of in-person and tele-health mental health services to the general community, patients on Medicaid and commercial insurance, children and families, and transgender youth and adults.
Flexible Schedule: Some flexibility of schedule during normal business hours, with possibility of some limited remote, work from home hours.
Wage: $19 - $24 per hour, based on level of experience.
Primary Job Duties: Reception and Office Support
- In-person, phone and email reception including responding to new patient inquiries.
- Assisting in phone screening and initial information gathering for new clients, onboarding of new clients into the clinic’s electronic health record system and assisting with scheduling of existing clients.
- Facilitating coordination of care between the mental health providers and other professionals, such as Physicians, teachers, other therapists, by means of obtaining contact information, faxing releases of information or scheduling phone appointments.
- Helping implement data organization systems to streamline office efficiency.
- Working closely with clinic billing specialist and clinic director to facilitate day to day operations of the clinic
- Use of trauma informed practices in day to day interactions with patients and providers.
- Data entry, scanning, faxing and office support for mental health clinicians.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
- Computer skills including learning and managing of various on-line systems, Google based platforms, bookkeeping software, and internet research.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, fellow staff and the public and maintain flexibility in role.
- Skills in answering the telephone, making calls and interacting with practitioners, community partners, insurance representatives, and clients in a friendly, pleasant, assertive, flexible, and helpful manner.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Physical Demands: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment, motor skills associated with use of computer and office equipment.
