Position Overview
As an Activities Assistant/ Lifestyles Assistant, you will assist with programs and events that ensure the holistic wellbeing of our residents (physical, spiritual, emotional, and social). Above all, you will exhibit a passion for serving seniors while contributing to the positive environment our residents are proud to call home. Here is what we’ll expect from you:
- Assist with a holistic schedule of events and activities (physical, spiritual, emotional, and social).
- Knowledge about dementia, the changes associated with dementia illnesses, how they affect the residents' ability to function, and the adaptive strategies that help maintain residents' abilities.
- Plan, promote, implement, coordinate, and evaluate events to enrich the lives of our seniors while also complying with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Serve as an ambassador in the community, helping establish a network of vendors, partners, and volunteers.
- Maintain a record of all activities and events, including the current calendar of activities.
- Help ensure the timely, safety, and dependability of transportation services.
- Commit to the continuous improvement of the programs and events based on resident’s feedback.
