What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workers Compensation Analyst position at Bridgestone?
Review and document all worker's compensation claims data, investigating cause of reported claims, and supporting the determination of compensability of all accidents/injuries.
Perform claim audits and analysis to determine trends in worker's compensation claims.
Closely manage all in-house claims and collaborate with our Third-Party Administrator and other vendors.
Collaborate with company personnel to promote and facilitate temporary alternative duty (TAD) program.
Communicate effectively with teammates, internal customers, clients, outside counsel, and management.
Analyze, develop, and provide comprehensive reports to management identifying trends with recommendations strategy
Actively manage litigation process
Provide direction on claims dispositions, negotiations, reserve adequacy, and subrogation
Ensure reserve accuracy and action plans are defined.
Supervise utilization of the Worker's Compensation Managed Care networks, identifying deficiency and corrective action
Provide direction on claims dispositions, negotiations, reserve adequacy and subrogation
Communicate with TPA as they set claim reserves.
Ensure an accurate diagnosis, prognosis, & medical plan of treatment.
Evaluate the need for and authorize independent medical examinations.
Direct claims adjusters in the selection and utilization of Field Case Nurses.
Establish and maintain relationship with Operations, Safety, HR, and Legal
Ensure compliance with ADA regulations.
Suggest best practice improvements for internal processes.
Manage special projects in support of Bridgestone as assigned.
REQUIRED:
Bachelor Degree required preferably in Risk Management, Insurance or a related field of study.
4 years full-time claims management experience with Retail/Manufacturing experience.
Strong technical claims knowledge
Knowledge of insurance policy language and insurance coverage
Strong Microsoft Office skills
