ASSISTANT MEN’S SOCCER COACH
Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the full-time position of Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach, to begin January 2023. This position reports to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the head coach in all facets of a Division III men’s soccer program
- Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the College
- Assist in organizing and coaching training sessions
- Developing detailed scouting reports, video analysis breakdowns, and working with GPS technology/data
- Assist with administrative duties, including budgeting, equipment inventory, community service, fundraising initiatives, etc.
- Assist with program marketing and branding on a multitude of platforms, including social media
- Providing mentoring and support for the student-athletes, particularly in regard to academics, player, and leadership development
- Complying with all NCAA, conference and college policies and regulations
- Secondary duties as assigned by athletic department
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Prior collegiate coaching experience and/or competitive collegiate playing experience required
- Goalkeeper experience and/or training preferred
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is required
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier

Bridgewater offers bachelor’s degrees in approximately 60 majors and minors, along with four graduate programs, pre-professional programs such as medicine and law, and teacher licensure. The College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, with 23 intercollegiate athletic teams.
