Position: 210267 - Knowledge Management Consultant
Location: Rosemead, CA
Position Summary
The successful candidate will have extensive industry experience and will have applied analysis, research and improvement tools and methods in multiple and varied areas of business operations. The consultant will play a role in designing and leading knowledge management and technology implementations. This role also develops and manages processes, lessons learned, and best practices.
Essential Job Functions
· Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of core knowledge management approaches used to support critical knowledge flow within and across the business and knowledge domains.
· Promote knowledge management approaches (e.g., communities of practice, facilitated transfer of best practices, lessons learned, common knowledge flow processes, and collaborative tools).
· Develop and refine performance metrics, dashboard, and business/technology solutions based on client’s needs for Knowledge Management.
· Develop an implementation strategy, deployment plan and communication plan for Knowledge Management.
· Conduct requirements analysis through organized forums, focus groups, and surveys using knowledge management strategies.
· Design, test, and deploy new features of client’s technology improvement initiatives.
· Facilitate client's project implementation through demonstrations, presentations, training documentation, and training workshops.
· Facilitate and monitor the use and improvement of information management, processes, and approaches across client’s organization.
· Work with stakeholders to identify and address areas of opportunity and gaps in the knowledge flow.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or similar area.
· Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum requirements
· 8 – 10 years of relevant professional experience in the areas of knowledge management, information management, technology innovation, change management, project and program management, portal implementation, facilitation, and coaching.
· 5 years of experience working with SharePoint.
· Extensive experience with designing and implementing Knowledge Management metrics.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Strong research and analytical skills.
· Strong facilitator, change agent, and communicator.
· Strong project management oversight and also hands on skills.
· Experience conducting formal and informal classroom training, workshops, conferences, and seminars.
· Aptitude to process communication styles of clients, team members, and other stakeholders who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and levels of experience.
· Experience working both independently and, in a team,-oriented, collaborative environment.
· Good appreciation of client needs at both the operational and strategic level.
