Maintenance Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented, individual with a strong mechanical background. This position is responsible for assisting our Maintenance Manager with repair and preventative maintenance of our equipment and facilities. The role will be based out of Winston-Salem, NC with occasional needs at our other facility in Yadkinville, NC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with airline and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with electrical wiring up to 480v
• Comfortable using scissor lift.
• Previous CNC experience is a plus
• Ability to use or learn manual lathe and mill
• Basic electrical, air, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Assist contractors as needed for larger repairs and maintenance
• Ability to travel between facilities as required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and maintain all maintenance related inventory
• Help develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for filters, oils, grease, and other periodic duties
• Perform general maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC Machines, production line, saws, facilities, and grounds
• Help identify and correct any maintenance related safety items
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with working in a team-based environment
• Identify and promptly report any safety hazards or issues
• Other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE:

• 1st Shift Position
• Typical Monday to Friday
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed

• Industry related: 5 years
• Troubleshooting: 3 years
• Mechanical Knowledge: 3 years
