Position Description

Maintains and improves inventory by analyzing statistics and determining opportunities for improvement.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Reports inventory statistics to management and suggests improvements to inventory control.

  2. Collects, documents and analyzes all inventory data, identifying trends, process failures, stale inventory and opportunities for improvement.

  3. Thinks creatively to develop analytical solutions/ processes related to inventory utilization that will drive efficiencies.

  4. Assists in creating and executing zero-usage reports, eliminating slow-moving.

  5. Assists in defining and executing inventory performance and business process improvements.

  6. Prepares weekly Stock and Inventory Movement Reports, investigating root cause for variances

  7. Assists in the implementation of inventory strategies.

  8. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements
  • Understanding of financial principles including Return on Investment

  • Understands SAP MRP and the master data settings that drive inventory.

  • Ability to influence others without direct authority.

  • Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems

  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers on cost and timing

  • Ability to prepare and present complex technical information

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to form, work with and lead a team of diverse individuals in a variety of fields

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, logistics or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years
