Job Overview:
We are a rural Colorado public school seeking a talented Family and Consumer Studies educator and Future Career and Community Leaders of America sponsor. Briggsdale School needs a caring and capable teacher to lead our middle school and high school students to future success. Our school operates on a 4 day week schedule (Tuesday - Friday), with a 7 period schedule (6 preps, 1 plan).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to curriculum guidelines for FACS courses
-Serve as our FCCLA sponsor
- Provide academic support and guidance to students
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Deliver lessons effectively through public speaking and interactive teaching methods
Skills:
- Proficiency in academic advising and lesson planning
- Knowledge of family and consumer sciences
- Management skills, especially in budgeting and managing FCCLA funds
- Ability to manage student behavior effectively
- Flexibility to handle novel situations and adapt to challenges as they arise
