GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
This position will oversee several key components of the Division of Genetics, directly reporting to the Division Administrator and Division Chief. The ideal skill set includes experience in project management, administration within a research and clinical division, operations / facilities management, superb organizational and team building skills, and a commitment to working with a group of highly motivated scientists. The Division of Genetics currently has ~200 faculty and research staff members with annual research expenditures of more than $21MM.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Indicate key areas of responsibility, major job duties, special projects and key objectives for this position. These items should be evaluated throughout the year and included in the written annual evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: (MUST be realistic, neither overstated nor understated, and related to the essential functions of the job.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and organize information.
Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
Customer-service orientation.
Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to learn new systems as needed.
