Program Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Education, the History Teacher provides direct educational services to student population using professionally and educationally acceptable methods and techniques. Sequel TSI Tuskegee services adolescent males, ages 12 - 18.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in History Education or related discipline. Experience with adolescents ages 12-18 or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills. Must possess State of Alabama Teacher’s Certification, Class B License. Have exceptional verbal and written skills to develop educational curriculum and to instruct students; as well as writing reports, assessments and lessons. Ability to remain flexible to accommodate changes in the work schedule. Exceptional verbal and written skills are required to develop educational curriculum and to instruct students to write reports, assessments, and lessons. Knowledge to initiate and judgment capabilities to organize and plan activities. Must be experienced in adolescent growth and behavior, must possess the ability to identify socially appropriate behaviors. Must have high moral and ethical values and willingness to be open to learning and growing.
