What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Coordinator position at Brighter Paths?
```Duties```:
- Plan and organize engaging activities for adults at the day program.
- Create a schedule of daily, weekly, and monthly activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
_ Engage/Work with the participates that are apart of the day program.
- Create work schedules for staff, and duties necessary geared towards the program.
- Supervisor with other staff members to ensure activities are implemented effectively.
- Provide support and assistance to the individual during activities, including helping with mobility and personal care needs.
- Maintain accurate records of each participates and feedback on activities.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to address the specific needs to the individual.
- Stay updated on best practices regarding day program policies and procedures.
```Skills```:
- Experience or education in social work or a related field.
- Knowledge of developmental disability principles and practices, including elderly care and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassion and patience when working with the disabled population who may have physical or cognitive limitations.
- Creativity in developing engaging activities that cater to different interests and abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Type: Full-time
