Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. As a Psychologist, you will provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy to patients in a hospital setting. Your expertise and knowledge will be crucial in helping individuals navigate through their mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients
- Provide individual therapy sessions to address specific mental health concerns
- Conduct group therapy sessions to facilitate peer support and promote emotional growth
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research in the field of psychology and contribute to clinical research projects
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- A doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Psychologist in the state of practice
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in conducting psychological assessments and diagnosing mental health conditions
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and humanistic therapy
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology and its integration into treatment plans
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Empathy and compassion to provide support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges
- Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain accurate patient records
