We currently operate six high-tech greenhouse farms, with three new regional greenhouse hubs opening this year. BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 4,500 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest.
The Sanitation Lead will assist, train and coach team members in the daily cleaning and sanitation of the harvesting and packaging room and any other area assigned. This is a 2nd shift position, which is 5:45pm-6:15am on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Specifically, you will:
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new hires.
- Daily cleaning of harvesting and packaging equipment.
- Assembling and dissembling specific machinery at the end of the product run.
- Perform all duties on the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Follow protocols for food safe environment in accordance with sanitation SOP’s.
- Sweep, clean and squeegee floors in greenhouse.
- Prepare the production floor for preoperational inspection.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines, complete training as assigned, and report food safety problems to your supervisor or other member of management as soon as identified.
- Help foster a culture of safety and quality.
The ideal candidate:
- 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.
- Good attendance
- Be able to get the job done with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting to occasionally 25 pounds.
- Be able to work in a cold (37F) or hot (75F) environment throughout the day.
