Our services range from full-service membership and publications programs to mail processing project, mail room management and on-site mail room staffing, inbound mail screening solutions, courier services, warehousing and fulfillment and other complementary services as needed to support each client's unique individual needs.
Our corporate headquarters, located in the Laurel/Savage area, is currently recruiting for an experienced Secretary IV in the Washington, DC area to support our Government Contract Office to execute all documents, policies and procedures and handle all time sensitive information as required.
Responsibilities:
· Review and process all time sensitive complex FOIA/PA request daily.
· Have a full understanding that all Attorney General Executive Secretary (Exec Sec) mail is extremely time sensitive and must be handled as such.
· Generate draft responses to submitters for referral of request.
· Create documentation to initiate refer request to proper agencies.
· Sort, scan and enter documents into the DOJ IQ database with complete accuracy.
· Dispatch all completed documents to the Attorney General Executive Secretary office.
· Maintain appropriate files on all internal request received.
· Must maintain a high response with day-to-day activities and work independently with minimum supervision.
· Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
· Must have at least 3 years of Secretary and Administrative experience.
· Demonstrated problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and capacity to navigate the internet for work.
· Evidence of superb written and oral communication skills.
· Demonstrated experience supporting a senior staff members.
· Prior experience working in a federal government agency environment preferred.
· Proven ability to plan and coordinate projects and work schedules to use efficiently work-related resources and information by Government and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
· Sound research and analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems and formulate solutions as required.
· Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of the Administration Division’s team.
· Highly effective personal and interpersonal skills, which foster trust, cooperation, and support of others.
· Proven ability to cope with and perform effectively in a demanding environment, giving close attention to detail and accuracy, while meeting tight deadlines.
· Proven ability to communicate and concisely in writing and verbally and possess a high standard of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
· Demonstrated ability to recognize and deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy and maintain complete confidentiality.
· Experience in handling inquiries under a variety of conditions in a helpful, responsive and positive manner.
· Must be detail oriented, self-starter, reliable, and have the ability to multi-task.
