Currently, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated pediatric nurse to join our team and provide specialized care for an 11-month-old child who requires tracheostomy (trach) and gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care. Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to an 11-month-old child with tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes in a home health setting.
2. Perform trach care procedures, including suctioning, dressing changes, and maintenance of trach equipment, following established protocols and safety measures.
3. Administer G-tube feedings, medications, and treatments accurately and safely, adhering to prescribed schedules and dosages.
4. Monitor the child's respiratory status, vital signs, and overall health condition closely, recognizing and responding promptly to any signs of distress or changes in condition.
5. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and caregivers, to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the child's specific needs.
6. Educate and support the child's family and caregivers in trach and G-tube care techniques, providing training and guidance to ensure safe and effective care delivery at home.
7. Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and communications accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
8. Provide emotional support and encouragement to the child and family, fostering a trusting and caring relationship and promoting a positive care experience.

Qualifications:

1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
2. Minimum of [1] years of pediatric nursing experience, with specific experience in trach and G-tube care preferred.
3. Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
4. Proficiency in tracheostomy care procedures, including suctioning, trach dressing changes, and troubleshooting trach-related issues.
5. Knowledge of G-tube feeding protocols, including administration of feeds, medications, and tube maintenance.
6. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to recognize and respond to changes in the child's condition effectively.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, family members, and other stakeholders.
8. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing family-centered care and support to pediatric patients and their families.
