Hospice Nurse
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team at BrightStar Care. The Hospice Nurse is responsible for providing care and support to patients and their families during the dying process. This position will work with other healthcare professionals to promote quality of life for our patients and their families.
The Hospice Nurse will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and will provide quality patient care and support services. This position will report to the RN Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assists in coordinating, coordinating, supervising, or coordinating with other healthcare professionals in the provision of services to patients during their dying process.
- Provides quality patient care under the supervision of the RN.
- Assists in conducting educational activities to train patients, their families, and friends on how to provide for themselves and die in a dignified manner.
- Performs duties as assigned by the RN Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the RN Manager.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Qualifications
- Current state nursing license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification (CPR). CPR certification must be obtained prior to employment with BrightStar Care.

- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
