Position: Optometrist
Job Description:
BrightStar Care is seeking an Optometrist to lead an optometry clinic. The contract of employment for this occupation ranges from 1-5 years, but is not limited to a full-time opportunity. The optometrist will be responsible for leading a fully staffed administrative team, technicians, and call suppport center. Other responsibilites include the evaluation of the patient’s visual acuity, visual fields, and visual field. The diagnosis of eye disease and treatment of eye disease are also provided. The successful candidate will be a team player who is detail oriented and has the ability to work independently when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.)
- Current state optometric license required; active optometry license preferred.
- Minimum one year experience as an optometrist required.
- Knowledge of glaucoma management preferred.
- Knowledge of glaucoma screening methods preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other team members.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
