We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Position Summary
The Budget Analyst's primary objective is to develop key program budgets, to provide analysis on business trends, and to monitor the program budget/expenses on a monthly basis. The Budget Analyst will report directly to the Controller and will work closely with a team of accountants and program managers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze monthly departmental financial reports, investigate actual to budget variances, and communicate with managers/directors in order to maintain expenditure controls and forecast financial trends.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budgets and manage program-based, multi-year forecasts for expenditures and revenues.
  • Monitor and update program budgets within the agency’s accounting software and funders online budget portal.
  • Provide support to the Director, Associate Director, Controller and/or Chief Financial Officer to assist with special studies that require data compilation; analyze and interpret information in oral and written presentations.
  • Utilize and ensure compliance with cost allocations across various funding streams in accordance with the OMB Uniform Guidance Regulations.
  • Be aware of and adhere to multiple contract budgets with their own specified individual requirements and parameters.  Maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.  Read applicable contract agreements to ensure all revenues and billable expenditures are maximized.
  • Contribute to departmental and organizational goals and mission by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 3+ years accounting management and financial analysis experience
  • Familiarity with Intacct; and other accounting software packages
  • High level of proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
