Creative Director – Brilliant Earth 

We are looking for a hands-on Creative Director to lead the creative execution and evolution of the Brilliant Earth brand. In this role, you will develop, shape and implement innovative campaigns and messaging, with the goal of bringing our brand, products, mission and stories to life across all channels. The Creative Director balances the responsibilities of leading concept development, executing creative projects, and delivering on-going creative assets, as well as leading a best-in-class team of creatives. 

The ideal candidate is driven to create visually compelling work, grounded in strategy and focused on the business goals and brand story. This highly creative and detail-oriented position requires the ability to collaborate across the company and with external vendors. We are searching for a senior leader who has a true passion for what drives consumer behavior and a desire to translate that into compelling visual and emotional narratives.  

 
Responsibilities 

• Lead the on-going creative evolution & execution of the Brilliant Earth brand 

• Establish design systems, tone of voice and guidelines to ensure consistency of brand usage across all channels  

• Concept, design and execute elevated digital-centric experiences through compelling campaigns, including video, that stretch across all channels, including site, email, social, paid channels and showrooms 

• Establish timelines and budgets, driving creative projects from concept to completion, including photoshoots and content development 

• Manage and lead creative team to deliver premium, modern designs and creative solutions 

• Serve as a creative ambassador for the brand across internal and external teams, working with key stakeholders to ensure the creative vision of the company is translated effectively across all channels. 

• Direct the daily creative workflow to support the creative and strategic needs across all channels 

• Foster a culture of feedback and deploy effective design methodologies like creative concepts, user-centric design thinking, and prototyping 

Qualifications 

• 7-10 years of creative leadership experience, with a focus on high quality design and content in luxury consumer and digital/e-commerce 

• Deep understanding of customer experience, brand management, marketing, advertising, and e-commerce 

• Robust creative design experience for premium products (jewelry experience a plus) 

• Demonstrated expertise in a broad array of creative marketing areas including multi-channel campaigns, web design, photography, video and packaging (mission-driven business experience a plus) 

• Ability to act as a player-coach leader in a fast moving, changing, cross-functional and team-based environment 

• Proactive and driven to act with a sense of urgency; able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present creative ideas and information clearly to executive leadership and cross functional partners.  

• Eye for detail and ability to connect each detail to overall brand strategy and mission 

• Highly organized with demonstrated project management skills. Able to juggle multiple, and sometimes, conflicting priorities and needs 

• Ability to build collaborative partnerships across the organization, including receiving and providing constructive feedback, working together to ensure best brand performance across channels. 

• High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Bridge 

• Understanding and acceptance of diversity, equity, inclusion and workplace belonging concepts   

The targeted budget for this position is $180,000-$200,000. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.”
