Accountant

Job Summary: Briscoe and Associates is searching for a full-time Accountant to join our team. We are looking for someone who will dig into the details, always be ready to learn, and is passionate about excellent customer service. This individual should have a well-rounded knowledge of accounting procedures and programs. We have offices in Eastland, TX and Stephenville, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Organize, summarize and clean up Quick Books files.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper coding of transactions.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
• Stay up to date with accounting regulations and changes in GAAP.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required skills and qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance.
• Professional certification (ex: CPA in the United States)
• Advanced knowledge of relevant software, such as Intuit QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel etc.
• Able to work well with a team.
• Professional in conduct and attitude at all times.
