Bristol Design Build Services, LLC is seeking a Carpenter in our Golden, CO location. The Carpenter supports client needs by performing manual labor in support of projects.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including operating small hand tools and power tools.
- Perform heavy labor such as carrying and lifting materials and other activities.
- Promote safe work practices and adhere to company and client safety policies and procedures for work performed, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation of task.
- Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices.
- Routinely perform safety and productivity observations; shop, field, and vehicle inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record. 3-5 Years of relative experience desired.
Required Knowledge or Skills
- Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, diversified personalities. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow workers.
- Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow Bristol client safety programs and regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
- Ability to plan and organize workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain a rapport and strong working relationship with co-workers.
- Ability to relate to and work with personnel in all levels of an organization required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
- Position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes.
- Must be a team player, willing to assist other craft persons as necessary to get the job done.
Preferred Knowledge or Skills
- OSHA 30.
- Craft certifications.
- First AID/AED certification.
Physical Demands
- Heavy physical workload.
- Employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading. Also required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.
- The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout.
