As the Compliance & Operations lead for the Customer & Market Insights organization, this position will serve as the subject matter expert for market research overall compliance and GDPR requirements (EphMRA Code of Conduct). Working in collaboration with the VP, Customer & Market Insights and relevant matrix stakeholders in Pharmacovigilance, Law & Compliance, Strategic Corporate Transactions, Procurement, Data Privacy Office, Transparency, IT, Global Quality/Corporate Audit colleagues, this role leads efforts to ensure that research supplier management and the protection of confidential agreements are compliant, as related to managing operational requirements for regulatory compliance processes, monitoring market research programs for pharmacovigilance compliance requirements and vendor management and compliance training. In addition, the lead will ensure audit readiness, lead third party risk management, and provide leadership over an internal market research repository.
Specific responsibilities to include:
- Composes and updates SOP and working practice guideline documents, training, and communications necessary to guide and maintain compliance, while balancing simplicity of execution.
- Guides and coaches enterprise market research project management staff regarding interpretation and application of requirements. Ensures processes are streamlined and appropriate checkpoints established to facilitate compliance to SOPs, working practice guidelines, and appropriate protocols across the organization for primary market research.
- Effectively collaborates with WW, US and international markets market research staff and matrix stakeholders to manage compliance.
- Partners with Procurement and Strategic Corporate Transactions to maintain master MSA and Market Research Rider language, and that current versions of the agreements are in place for US and WW agencies.
- Leads audit responses for internal and external audits, including documentation in designated systems and timely completion of corrective and preventative actions.
The Associate Director, Customer & Market Insights Compliance & Operations Excellence lead will have both strong communication and project management skills necessary to provide compliance leadership, guidance, and support to internal stakeholders and to maintain strong monitoring of requests and deliverables.
Qualifications and Expected Behaviors:
- BA/BS in relevant field of study or equivalent required
- Must have 5 years of compliance experience, and knowledge of market research compliance requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to enforce processes and compliance
- Project Management skills (PMP certification a plus)
- Ability to interact and communicate with mid-level and senior associates
- Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
- Global experience working across cultures (US, Europe and Asia) preferred
