We are looking for an individual with a strong concern for quality and accuracy of work with a results-oriented focus. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for all areas of accounting for our Britten Woodworks company, a division of Britten, Inc. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract management, general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Job Summary and Job Functions
- This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Responsible for all AR (including AIA Billings), AP, Cash and all other General Accounting duties
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Supports budget and forecasting activities.
- Collaborates with Britten Woodworks leadership to support overall company goals and objectives.
- Responds to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and other company wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the company.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
- 4 years or more of related experience, required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in accounting and operational software: QuickBooks, ShopPAK, Excel, Google Sheets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- General knowledge of Construction contracts, AIA billing
- Experience with Job Costing preferred
- Results oriented focus with the ability to get things done and the ability to quickly adapt in a changing environment
