The Installer will be a great problem solver, with a hard work ethic, and will make a positive impact on the company and our customers. We are looking for analytical, skilled, detailed and motivated people who genuinely care about what they do! This team focuses on installing high quality and detailed installation work to ensure customer's orders are manufactured to world class specifications.

Job Summary and Job Functions

• Install casework, architectural millwork, and event spaces for commercial projects locally, across Michigan, the Midwest, and occasionally across the country. 
• Ability to problem solve concerns/issues that arise on the installation jobsite.
• Maintain a strong communication trail with the customer onsite.
• Send accurate feedback and documentation of projects to project managers as installations progress.
• Travel 3-4 night a week.
• Implement measurable quality standards and checklists throughout the installation process.
• Produce high quality, detailed work based on standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in the shop as needed.
• Ability and willingness to follow safety standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Carpentry and installation experience required.
• Ability to use all types of tools necessary for the job (power tools, hand tools, etc).
• Able to work effectively with a team as well as individually.
• Experience with laminate, veneers, solid surface, stainless steel, highly considered.
• Knowledge of cabinetry, construction, and reading Architectural blueprints.
• Analytical and technical abilities.
• A strong work-ethic, and flexibility to work varied shifts. Overtime as needed.
• A positive and professional attitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivation with an ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Heavy work. Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
• Visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
• Subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
• Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists.
