As the PR Manager and Content Strategist, you will define the content strategy for the company including brand goals, thought leadership focus, and PR goals. You will manage all writing material created for business purposes, from online guides and articles to newsletters and social media posts.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
Manage PR vendor, content and thought leadership strategy
Manage company editorial calendar to ensure timely publication
Drive internal colleague communications plan in collaboration with internal stakeholders and leadership team
Develop blog and social calendar and write/assign content to writers
Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Media & PR
Lead PR strategy for press releases and media placements for traditional and non-traditional publications
Ensure company branding and messaging is consistent and positively reflected across all communication, materials, channels, social streams and media placements
Conduct keyword and SEO research to understand customers’ needs
Monitor web traffic and engagement (e.g. conversions and bounce rates) and collaborate with team to monitor and optimize online experience
Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics
Review and update published content as needed
Build and manage PR calendar at selected events and tradeshows as needed
Communications & Messaging
Create style guides to use as reference
Proofread and edit written pieces before publication
Schedule social media posts
Manage corporate communication plan to include internal newsletters, end user campaigns and media outreach.
Collaborate with team on partner communications and demand gen messaging
Ensure consistent use of terminology, phrasing and tone across content throughout company
About You
Proven work experience as a Content Strategist, Content Manager or similar role
A portfolio of published articles
Experience in project management is a plus
Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like WordPress
Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools (e.g. Moz and Google Keyword Planner)
