Overview

DMS Inc., a BRMi company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager, also known as a Senior PM, to join our dynamic team. As a Senior PM, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex IT projects, ensuring their successful completion within the specified time, budget, and scope. Your role will involve leading a team of project managers and coordinating with various stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and executive management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and extensive knowledge of IT project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Initiation:
    • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Conduct project feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring:
    • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Coordinate and allocate resources, ensuring their availability and utilization.
    • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
    • Implement project management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management:
    • Develop project budgets, track expenditures, and manage financial resources.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project spending.
    • Prepare accurate cost estimates and forecasts.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes effectively.
    • Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations.
    • Facilitate decision-making processes and resolve conflicts as they arise.
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
    • Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues.
    • Perform regular project assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Project Closure and Evaluation:
    • Coordinate project closure activities, including documentation and knowledge transfer.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare comprehensive project reports, including performance metrics and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on complex projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and meeting objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and system integration.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
