Home Equity Lending Specialist

Summary of Role: Processes and makes lending decisions on Home Equity applications and ensures they are ready for closing. Also, processes and makes lending decisions on student loans and also assists with the booking process for other student loan lenders. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Assisting members and internal customers with questions and problems related to Broadview loan programs Accurate input and timely processing of home equity files as evidenced by weekly pipeline report            Problem-solving and analysis on appraisals, other property value determinations, credit and title reports and other related documentation and addressing problems that arise           Cross-selling Broadview products and services Proper utilization of Loans PQ and other required systems   Within assigned lending limit, underwrites home equities and student loans according to Broadview policies and procedures Assists with student loan closings, setup and disbursements Preparing required correspondence and providing appropriate disclosures within the required time Ready files to close (including HMDA review for home equities) and being able to complete the booking process for student loans Other duties as needed Minimum Job Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 - 2 years related experience and/or training Must be currently registered in the National Mortgage Licensing and Registration System (NMLS) as per The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) (or actively register within required timeframe from date position begins) Ability to prioritize tasks Ability to communicate professionally and effectively (verbally, written, etc.) Starting Compensation: $20.68- $24.8/hr., plus a competitive benefits package Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.
