Car Wash Field Service Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a part-time (20-24 hrs/week) technician to service our customers in the greater Portland, OR area. This is a remote position as our company is based in Minneapolis. However, you will be closely connected to our in-house service team for help with troubleshooting, submitting weekly reports, and for any new product training. Our service representatives are the ‘face’ of the company post-installation, therefore we are looking for someone who is well-spoken and a great representative of our family-owned and operated business.

Pay: $24.00-28.00 per Hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Installing equipment and testing new equipment
• Conduct routine monthly preventative maintenance
• Conducting emergency repairs
• Meeting with the customer to determine nature of service and repairs
• Maintaining equipment stock in company vehicle
• Completed job reports submitted weekly

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Having past field experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• Possess a basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity that will be built upon with training.
• Ability to work with car wash parts weighing up to 50 pounds and some as high up as 8’.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights and operate heavy machinery (including but not limited to blowers)
• Comfortable and confident in working with these conditions
• A valid driver’s license and no major moving violations

Location: This service technician will be responsible for all of our customers in the greater Portland, OR area, commuting by company vehicle. This position requires overnight travel up to 25% of the time.
