Job Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries to the General Ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of balances sheet accounts to assure accuracy and that all items are accounted for.
- Enter financial results into Financial Reporting system’s consolidation and reporting package, assuring accuracy and correctness of information.
- Assist Accounting Supervisor with entering financial results into Financial Reporting system, consolidating results in reporting systems, and publishing monthly reporting from various accounting packages.
- Act as the Financial Liaison to the non-commercial SG&A departments and partner with the leadership of these departments to analyze financial performance, create quarterly forecasts, and build up the annual budget.
- Own the Fixed Asset process by managing the Fixed Asset system, working with project managers to track and categorize spend, and manage fixed asset listing to properly identify impairments and potential write-offs. Leverage knowledge of Capital activity to assist in the preparation of capital forecasts.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be analytical, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-motivated, take initiative, have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. They must have the ability to review historical data, trends, and decipher feedback from other departments to provide insightful and actionable reporting and analysis to management.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field required, with MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to decipher complex data, simplify it, and present analysis to non-financial individuals in a manner which allows them to take action.
- Self-motivated with the mental flexibility and agility to switch gears when priorities change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate across the organization to financial and non-financial personnel.
- Strong computer skills to include experience with ERP systems, Financial Reporting, and advanced Microsoft Excel applications
- Ability to lead planning and budgeting processes cross-functionally with leadership of various functions
- Understand Financial Statements and General Ledger activity to understand how transactional activity flows to specific line items on the Financial Statements.
