What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Charge Bookkeeper position at Brockton MA?
Successful 50 year old National Automobile and Equipment Leasing and Fleet Management Company, looking for a reliable Full Charge Bookkeeper to assist the CFO, in the Bookkeeping and Accounting Department.
The position being filled is located at our Brockton Office immediately off exit 31A on Route 24.
Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel is a must; Experience with Asset Management systems a big plus.
Candidate needs to have good knowledge of accounting principles; must be an organized professional with a great eye for detail. as well as reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
Responsibilities include:
- Filing multiple State Sales Tax Reports and Posting to QuickBooks's
- Reconcile and pay monthly Financial Intuitions Notes Payable accounts using Excel spreadsheets.
- Setting up of Vehicle Finance packages for Funder reimbursement
- Reconcile monthly Operating Bank Statements and associated GL's
- Calculate Sales Department Commissions
- Submit Weekly Payroll and 401k posting into QuickBooks
- Health Insurance posting and payments
- General Company Accounts Payable
- Manage the Tracking of: Vehicle Titles, State Business Licenses, Off Lease Vehicles for Sale.
- Filing of Annual Compliance Reports
- Assist CEO and CFO in Cash Management
Requirements
- Proven experience as Full Charge Bookkeeper or other similar position
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred
