JOB STATEMENT: This position offers you the opportunity to assume ownership of an established and successful region and provide leadership to a growing national team of Regional Managers. You will provide leadership in the assigned State to achieve performance targets, oversee business development, and deliver profitability goals.
Essential Duties:
- Development, implementation and achievement of annual sales and accounts sold goals
- Develop, implement and execute sales programs and pricing strategy
- Develop and execute merchandising and distribution standards with our distributor network
- Build and maintain close working relationships with the top on and off premise accounts, both chain and independents
- Build and maintain close working relationships with distributor sales and management personnel
- Work each market with the top distributor sales representatives, field managers and Key Account Managers
- Perform credit and collection activities with customers and distributors
- Conduct mid-year and annual planning and review meetings with all distributors
- Daily distributor management responsibilities including monitoring of price points (including competitive set), orders, shipments, samples, training and POS management
- Conduct sales meetings on a consistent basis to communicate sales and marketing objectives and keep winery brands at the forefront of all distributor sales presentations
- Conduct quarterly market analysis surveys in all major markets
- Provide monthly reports and accomplishments recap to National Sales Manager
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of wine industry experience at the Regional / Management level
- General Alcohol and Beverage experience highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and self-motivational skills
- High level of integrity, confidence
- Wine knowledgeable, from the vineyard to the table
- Possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and be able to meet the company's insurance requirements
- Forge strong professional relationships in short timeframes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sit for an extensive period of time
- Lift occasionally (office materials, wine boxes)
- Perform tasks using standard computer equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor climate
- Limited noise levels
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
- Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
