Position Summary:
Be a part of an incredible growing Real Estate management company seeking to hire a Commercial Leasing manager. The Commercial Leasing Manager oversees rental operations for the commercial real estate portfolio. In this role, your job duties include researching the background of lease applicants, negotiating lease agreements, and completing all necessary paperwork. Our ideal candidate will have direct experience overseeing a variety of commercial spaces including retail, restaurant, and office. This candidate will feel extremely comfortable working in a high-touch, relationship-focused role and will excel in providing exceptional customer service.
In addition, you may be asked to back-up our residential leasing department which includes providing organizational and administrative support. These responsibilities include activities related to apartment rentals and preparing lease documentation.
Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail-oriented individual with a knack for working independently in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between tenants, in-house personnel, inside counsel, consultants, and brokers to negotiate, prepare and review leases and related documents, amendments, renewals, extensions, licenses, terminations, subleases, lessor consents, right-of-first offer & right-of-first-refusal notices, cell tower agreements, etc.
- Understands lease language and is comfortable with reviewing commercial leases and managing negotiations with prospective tenants.
- Experience with managing build outs and developing tenant concept plans with architects.
- Maintain a commercial leasing tracking database of all portfolio matters.
- Gather all necessary information needed for the processing and closing of rental applications in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Communicate with prospective renters, their employers, their previous landlords and any other involved parties to obtain necessary documentation for verification of application information
- Provide application status updates to prospective renters, resolve discrepancies or problems, and ensure quality customer service
- Monitoring the Brokers marketing efforts, to have appropriate and correct listings.
- Tracking unit availability and make ready status with Building Superintendents.
- Works closely with property management team to ensure that properties with vacant space are well presented.
- Coordinating with Property Management for Moves in and outs
- Assist with special projects as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of progressive commercial leasing experience in the NYC real estate field preferred.
- The ability to work independently and manage all aspects of commercial leasing and marketing.
- Application processing experience in a high-volume commercial setting
- Experience with bookkeeping and/or real estate accounting is a plus
- Previous experience with MRI or a comparable accounting software program
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills. Demonstrates ability to prioritize and complete time sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $700,000.00 per year
